Harve A. Mogul

President and Chief Executive Officer

Under Harve Mogul’s leadership since 1991, United Way of Miami-Dade has earned national recognition as one of the leading United Ways and non-profits in the country, frequently cited for excellence in its major gift and fundraising programs, diversity efforts, emergency responsiveness, financial stewardship and governance and community building initiatives. In 2007, United Way opened the Center for Excellence in Early Education, a national best practices teaching and training initiative dedicated to elevating the quality of early childhood education. In 2009, United Way opened the Center for Financial Stability, one of two such centers in the country, to address economic hardships facing individuals and families.

Mogul has been a United Way professional since 1973. In addition, he helped plan the national campaign to raise $100 million for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial and Museum in Washington D.C., served in the United States Peace Corps, taught fifth grade, and worked with community planning and advocacy organizations.

Mogul is a graduate of the University of Maryland. He resides in Coral Gables with his wife Alesia. They have two sons – Elliott and Maxwell.
E. Diane Blevin

E. Diane Blevin

Vice President, Human Resources

Diane joined the United Way team in 1996 as finance manager working on the budget and financial plan. Since then, she has held positions in marketing, strategic operations and in 2006 was named vice president for human resources. Diane is responsible for a complete overhaul of human resources practices and procedures that has resulted in a high level of professionalism among staff.

Diane earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Illinois and a master's of business administration in marketing from Loyola University.
 
Outside of the office, Diane loves gardening, traveling and is a passionate animal welfare advocate.  

Mary  Donworth

Mary Donworth

Group Vice President, Community Investments

Mary is responsible for the strategic investment of United Way community plan dollars to further our work in education, income and health. A United Way professional since 1991, oversees a team of professionals and volunteers who determine how best to invest United Way dollars to achieve outcomes and then monitor those investments to ensure effective program delivery and results.

Mary represents United Way on various boards, including the Emergency Food and Shelter Program Local Board, William Watts Foundation, and Miami-Dade County's CBO Advisory Committee. 

Mary has a bachelor’s degree in history from Barry College and a master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University. Prior to joining United Way, Mary worked at a non-profit in New York focused on international cultural and professional exchange.

Mary is an avid reader and traveler.

Claudia Grillo

Senior Vice President, Community Investments and Development

As senior vice president for community investments and development, Claudia is responsible for United Way’s overall fundraising, public policy and community investment work, including the United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education and the United Way Center for Financial Stability. A member of the team since 1994, Claudia joined the organization as director of United Way Direct, responsible for event and cause-related fundraising, and then took over leadership giving, major gifts fundraising.  In that capacity, she was responsible for the creation of United Way’s Women’s Leadership and Endowment programs.

Before joining United Way of Miami-Dade, Claudia ventured in advertising sales and marketing for local South Florida business publications. She majored in political science at University of Florida and is a graduate of Leadership Miami.

Claudia raises two fantastic children and loves biking.

Dania Gorriz

Dania Gorriz

Vice President ,Tocqueville Society and Major Gifts

Dania joined United Way of Miami-Dade as a loaned executive in 2002 and has never left. As a development officer and senior development officer, Dania managed the campaign accounts within the finance division and well as our loaned executive program before moving into leadership giving. As vice president for Tocqueville and Major Gifts, Dania manages one of the most successful United Way major gifts programs in the country.

Dania is a graduate of William and Mary College and has a master’s in business administration from University of Miami.

She is a member of the PTA and room parent at her son’s school, Ada Merritt and a fan of travel, books and movies.
Tammy Klingler

Tammy Klingler

Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications

As senior vice president of marketing and communications, Tammy oversees all marketing and communication functions for the organization. A United Way professional since 1995, her areas of expertise include issue management, special events, corporate communications and emergency responsiveness. Tammy was instrumental in the creation of the United Way Miami Wine & Food Festival, now in its 16th year.

A graduate of Michigan State University in journalism, Tammy worked for a small newspaper and financial public relations firm before joining United Way.

She enjoys traveling, cycling, good food, fine wine and friends.
Carlos Molina

Carlos Molina

Chief Financial Officer

Carlos joined United Way of Miami-Dade in 1990, having served previously as a financial executive in the public and for-profit sectors. In his current role, Carlos oversees the financial and accounting operations of the organization and manages the organization’s investment portfolios and supervises fiscal agent operations provided to local not-for-profit organizations. In addition, Molina oversees the management of campus real estate, tenant/landlord relationships, information technology and human resources.

Carlos earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colorado State University and a master’s in finance from Florida International University. He is currently a member of the United Way Worldwide Financial Issues Committee and founding member of the South Florida Non-profit Financial Executives.

Carlos enjoys traveling, reading and coaches his two sons in youth sports. 
Gladys R. Montes

Gladys R. Montes

Vice President, United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education

With a passion for providing high quality early childhood education and more than 25 years of experience, Gladys joined United Way in 200x to open United Way’s nationally recognized world-class United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education..

Prior to joining United Way, Gladys worked as a preschool teacher, a childcare center director, associate director for Catholic Charities’ early childhood division, a federal reviewer for Head Start and a validator with the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Gladys was instrumental in the development of the Birth to Three Learning and Development Standards, a project sponsored by the Florida Partnership for School Readiness and the Florida Institute of Education.

Gladys has a bachelor’s degree from University of Puerto Rico and a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University.
Jacquie O'Malley

Jacquie O'Malley

Group Vice President, Development

Jacquie joined our United Way in 1996, serving first as senior manager of United Way Direct and development officer for the hospitality and media division. Today, Jacquie oversees the United Way of Miami-Dade’s annual development efforts.

Her major accomplishments include managing United Way’s first-ever million dollar fundraiser and the nation’s largest United Way fundraiser, an overnight cruise aboard RCCL’s Voyager of the Seas.

Prior to United Way, Jacquie worked WPLG-Channel 10. She majored in broadcast production at FIU, is a former Big Sister and Junior League member, and a proud graduate of Leadership Miami.

Jacquie and her husband Matt have two children and love to spend time with their very large families and many friends.
Juan  Carlos Urquiola

Juan Carlos Urquiola

Vice President, Creative Services and Interactive Communications

Juan joined United Way in 1992, having worked previously at Burson-Marsteller and Florida International University. In his current role, Juan is responsible for leading two key areas that support the brand and marketing strategies of the organization: the Creative Services area which develops and produces innovative marketing and communications materials, and the Interactive Communications team, where he is responsible for the development, design and maintenance of the organization’s website, electronic communications and social media efforts.

Juan is proud of his local education having earned an associate’s degree at Miami-Dade College and a bachelor’s degree at Florida International University. He is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. He is interested in the arts, traveling and technology.
