United Way, United Auto Workers donate trucks for Haiti
Food For The Poor, an organization United Way of Miami-Dade has been working with to deliver relief in Haiti since the earthquake on January 12, has recieved a donation of four trucks from United Way Worldwide, United Way for Southeastern Michigan and the United Auto Workers. The trucks will be used to deliver lifesaving food, medicine and critically needed housing supplies in Haiti.... Read More

United Way donation provides housing, food, and wheelchairs
Food For The Poor has used grant money from the United Way of Miami-Dade to build homes in Haiti, and provide food and emergency relief assistance to earthquake victims. The joint disaster relief fund, Operation Helping Hands, was created by United Way of Miami-Dade and The Miami Herald/ el Nuevo Herald.
